GOFFSTOWN, N.H. — Family, friends, and community members are mourning the unexpected loss of Nicholas “Nick” Robert Walton, who died at his home on June 6, 2026, at the age of 20.

Born on February 9, 2006, in Manchester, Nick was the beloved son of Robert R. Walton and Jennifer O’Connor Walton. His sudden passing has left those who knew him grieving the loss of a young man remembered for his hardworking nature, love of the outdoors, and deep devotion to family and friends.

Nick was employed by Walton’s Demolition, where he worked alongside family members and developed skills that reflected his hands-on approach to life. Those close to him described him as mechanically inclined and eager to take on challenges, whether repairing equipment, working on vehicles, or learning new trades.

Outside of work, Nick found joy in outdoor activities. He enjoyed four-wheeling, exploring trails, and spending time surrounded by nature. Friends and relatives recall his adventurous spirit and his enthusiasm for anything involving engines, machinery, and the outdoors.

Among his closest companions was his beloved dog, Barney. Family members said the bond between Nick and Barney was a special one, with the pair spending much of their time together.

In addition to his parents, Nick is survived by his sister, Riley Walton, and her fiancé, Matthew Martneau. He also leaves behind his maternal grandparents, Patrick and Barbara O’Connor, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members who cherished him.

As news of his passing spread, loved ones shared memories of a young man whose determination, loyalty, and warmth made a lasting impression on those around him. Though his life was brief, many say the relationships he built and the memories he created will continue to be treasured.

Calling hours are being held at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, and the family has announced that a celebration of Nick’s life will be held at a later date.

As the Walton family navigates this difficult loss, they have expressed appreciation for the support, prayers, and condolences extended by friends, neighbors, and members of the community. Nick will be remembered as a devoted son, loving brother, cherished grandson, loyal friend, and a young man who embraced life with energy and purpose.
