KIRKWOOD, Ill. — Family, friends, and members of the Kirkwood community are mourning the tragic loss of Gregory Micahl Mowen, 22, who was among three people killed in a two-vehicle collision near Kirkwood in Warren County on Saturday night.
According to authorities, the crash occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. on U.S. Route 34 north of 160th Avenue. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene following reports of a serious collision involving two passenger vehicles.
Upon arrival, first responders found multiple individuals injured in the crash. Officials confirmed that three people died as a result of the collision, while three additional victims were airlifted to a regional hospital for emergency medical treatment.
